What is Dialogue's Online Counselling?

Online Counselling connects employees who may not have access to mental health support through their workplace benefits with licensed psychotherapists and social workers for confidential, one-on-one mental health support directly through the Dialogue app. Members pay $140 per session, with no subscription and no minimum commitment, and receive an insurance receipt after each session to submit for reimbursement through their health benefits plan.

SLOW, COMPLICATED ACCESS

Traditional alternatives

  • The average wait for mental health support in the public system is 30 days. Private waitlists can stretch weeks or months depending on availability.

  • Private therapy typically costs $150-$250 or more per session and may not always be eligible for reimbursement, depending on the provider or type of mental health professional.

  • Traditional options require a separate app, a new account, or a referral. Each adds friction that reduces the likelihood employees will follow through.

  • Many traditional services assign a counsellor, with limited ability to filter by cultural background, identity, or specialization. Switching providers often means starting over or having to wait all over again.
