How does Dialogue calculate EAP cost savings?
Dialogue uses a value-based pricing calculator to measure cost savings our clients benefit from by using our EAP services (shorter wait times to access a mental health professional, fewer hours lost due to unproductive time waiting for support), compared against industry standards.
This calculation estimates savings by comparing the productive hours saved when an employee speaks to a mental health professional within 24 hours on Dialogue’s EAP vs. waiting 25 days for publicly funded service providers in Canada, or relative to other EAP providers.
The assumptions in this calculation are that:
15% of the employee population accesses mental health support annually.
A 35% reduction in productivity occurs while employees are waiting for support.
To estimate productivity saved by accessing virtual care, the number of hours saved per in-person doctor consultation is multiplied by the average hourly employee salary.
What does Dialogue do with my data?
For privacy and security reasons, Dialogue does not store any data related to the cost savings calculator.
