MONTREALNov. 9, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Dialogue Technologies Inc. ("Dialogue"), the leading virtual healthcare platform in Canada, is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of DXA, a company that has developed a powerful AI-powered medical technology platform.

The acquisition of DXA allow Dialogue to further improve the efficiency of its services and explore partnership opportunities around the world with healthcare providers and insurers.

Cherif Habib, co-founder and CEO of Dialogue said: "I am delighted with the acquisition of DXA and welcome the DXA team to the growing Dialogue organization. This technology has the potential to revolutionize how people access healthcare and will generate substantial efficiencies for healthcare providers. It complements our virtual care platform and will allow Dialogue to equip hospitals, clinics and insurers with a cutting-edge technology that can significantly increase efficiency and accuracy while also reducing costs. We plan to invest substantially in artificial intelligence and build on this technology while also keeping our "human-in-the-loop" approach and continue offering the best and safest care possible to our clients and users."

DXA was founded by four physicians working in academic acute care hospitals and clinics across North America. They have created a tool that replicates how an ER doctor's brain thinks. The system is extremely versatile and can be utilized for most provider-patient interactions, from primary care, to chronic and specialized care.

"We built a platform that can evaluate a patient and output a comprehensive medical note. Patients can be evaluated in the language of their choice and the medical history is outputted to the provider in English or French. This platform can be used by telehealth, ER and clinic providers to automate triage and the clinical chart note all while improving the patient's journey throughout their care. It can even be integrated to most electronic medical records and can also be a very helpful health risk evaluation tool for insurance carriers" said Dr Jonah Hebert-Davies, one of DXA's founders who also works as an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon at Harborview Medical Center of the University of Washington in Seattle. "Other uses for DXA are constantly being developed and I believe the impressive Dialogue team will take our technology to the next level."

The DXA technology has already been integrated to Dialogue's offering and partnership discussions are ongoing with a number of partners in Canada and abroad.
